yeah. that's called contempt of court, and it is punishable by jail time.
And not to get into the whole thing here, but there is an impact on one's life when things like that happen. Nobody made him plead guilty. He had a choice, and he made his choice. Yeah, it had an impact that probably was unexpected on his part and yours, clearly, but he made his choice.
It's now up to you choose to be responsible when you go to serve, whether you will go and serve as a juror in the manner in which it was meant to be done, or take all your considerations and feelings about your brother's case there and not serve in the manner in which it was meant to be done.
That also will have an impact on you, going forward. You do not know what your life has laid out ahead of you, and it may be that one day you may be in the position your brother was, because life likes to throw shit like that at people from time to time. And if that should happen, would you want someone with the attitude you have right now about the judicial system showing up and having your life in their hands?
