Actually he is not a convicted felon anymore. Bill Clinton pardoned him, which means that conviction is NO MORE. And he was convicted for mail fraud that had to do with his Honda dealerships, not his GM ones. And it wasn't an accounting issue. He was accused of paying Honda to keep them from allowing other people to open Honda Dealerships to compete with his.
