There is no innocent in our legal system. Pardon gives you back your rights taken away as a felon. Commutation is when you no longer have to serve out the rest of your punishment. A commutation doesn't give you back your rights.... ask Scooter Libby, he got a commutation and not a pardon. He cannot hold office, vote (in certain states), own a gun (in certain states), etc while Hendrick can.
