Edwards had some harsh words for Stewart over the radio, even threatening physical violence. During a later caution, Edwards would spin Stewart on pit road. After the race, Edwards continued to display his discontentment towards Stewart by saying, “How can a person make it this far in life and be that much of a jerk?”

Stewart’s was retort was the humorous likening of Edwards to Eddie Haskell from the classic television show ‘Leave It To Beaver’. So it appeared as if we would have a bad boy versus nice guy feud.
