Monterey rocks as well. Should have done the kayak thing in the bay while you were there. Those pesky sea otters will swim right up to you. But gotta watch out for those fins and keep your legs inside. No dangling body parts! Ha!

Newport is cool also. These are all the places I grew up. S.B. is a must see. Fresh shrimp and ice cold coronas in the harbor as the sun sinks into the ocean is the best. L.A. not so much. But, to each their own...
